I received 4 products from Mash Direct to out. Mashed Potatoes, Chilli Baby Bakes, Broccoli with cheese sauce and Cheese & Onion Croquettes. the mash is is priced at £1.50 and the other 3 products are £1.75 each.
Mash Direct are an independent family run company started by husband and wife Martin and Tracey Hamilton back in 2004. All their products contain no artificial flavouring colours or preservatives. And are also low in salt.
My kids tried the croquettes and they really liked them. So a big thumbs up!
My kids didn't fancy trying the chilli baby bakes which are basically potatoes coated with chilli breadcrumbs. They did have a kick to them but not overly spicy, just about right. I liked them and thought they made a nice change to ordinary plain potatoes but did taste a little bit dry by themselves.
I tried out the mash and broccoli cheese together. The mash was lovely, which I wasn't expecting from packet ready made mash. But I would buy this again as I hate peeling potatoes to make mash. But the broccoli with cheese sauce was my absolute fav!! It was gorgeous!! The broccoli tasted fresh and lovely and the cheese was so nice and just the right texture and thickness, not overly sickly either. I will definitely be buying this again and being completely honest, this was the best broccoli cheese I have ever had!!! It was that nice!
