The Single Mom's Club DVD Review

The Single Moms Club DVD Review

"Writer, director and producer Tyler Perry is at it again with the heartwarming comedy, Tyler Perry’s The Single Mom's Club arriving on DVD on 20th October, from Lionsgate Home Entertainment UK.

When five struggling single moms put aside their differences to form a support group, they find inspiration and laughter in their new sisterhood, and help each other overcome the obstacles that stand in their way.

Starring Nia Long (The Best Man Holiday), Amy Smart (Showtime’s “Shameless,” Crank), Cocoa Brown, Terry Crews (The Expendables franchise, TV’s “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”), William Levy, Wendi McLendon-Covey (Bridesmaids), Ryan Eggold, Zulay Henao, Eddie Cibrian (The Best Man Holiday”) and Tyler Perry, the uplifting comedy follows the power of friendship among an unlikely group of women."

I was really looking forward to watching this film. As it's a chick flick I watched it when my husband was at work and kids in bed and sat down of the sofa with my blanket and a tub of ice cream. I really like Nia Long and Amy Smart so thought I would really enjoy this. I thought the film was a bit bland and some parts boring. I kept waiting hoping it would get better, but was slightly disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy watching it, but I wouldn't go out and buy it.

Overall I would give this 2.5/5 stars

I received a check dvd in return for my review. All opinions are mine

  1. I have to agree with you on this one. I feel like it kept dragging and it was so predictable. Thanks for this review.
