Don't you just hate it when your cooking and you have to chop up onions or garlic?! Not because it can be tricky sometimes or there's a risk of slicing your fingers off, but because of the smell it leaves on your hands!!!
Normal soap or hand wash helps, but doesn't get rid of it completely. I found this Magic stainless steel soap in my local supermarket last year and thought I'd give it ago. It was £3.50, which I thought was a bit expensive, but if it worked I thought it would be worth the money.
Anyway, I got home that day and for tea I made spaghetti bolognese, which needed both onions and garlic. The perfect chance to try out my new toy. I simply rubbed it in my hands and used a bit of water to get the sticky residue of the garlic off. And I was amazed! It really works
I now call it our Magic Soap

ReplyDeleteI've heard of that, but seriously it worked? COOL!
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of that! I usually just pour a bit of mouthwash on my hands and then scrub with a bar of soap :)
